    Elizabeth, wife of William SPENCER, died 31st July 1743 aged 59 years.
    Also the above William Spencer died May 1757 aged 74 years.
    Also three children, Silvester, Elizabeth and John.
    Also Mary TOMSON, daughter of above (wife of Lewis Tomson) died 6th November (buried 12th November) 1803 aged 83 years.


    433 [31]. Next on a large stone:
    "In this vault lays interr’d the body of Mr Thomas TOMSON of Ramsgate, who departed this life the 8th of September 1721 in the 57th year of his age.
    Here also lieth interr’d the body of Ann, daughter of Richard and Sarah Tomson, who departed this life April ye 25th day 1732 aged 12 years and 12 days.
    Here lieth also the body of Mr Richard Tomson, who died April ye 5th 1733 aged 39 years. He left issue by Sarah his wife, three sons and two daughters, viz: William, Thomas, Richard, Sarah and Doroty.
    Here also lies the body of Mr Thomas Tomson, son of the above said Thomas, who died March ye 8th day 1740 in the 40th year of his age. He left issue by Doroty, his wife, five sons, viz: Thomas, Richard, William, Adam and Simpson.
    Also Simpson, son of Thomas and Doroty Tomson, who died September ye 17th 1741 in the 5th year of his age.
    Also Mary, wife of Lewis Tomson, who died February ye 13th 1742 aged 26 years and 5 months.
    Also Lewis, son of Lewis and Mary Tomson, who died July ye 20th 1740 aged 1 year and 3 months.
    Also Mary, widow of Mr Thomas Tomson, Sen. She died November ye 22nd 1755 aged 83 years."


    217. Mary, wife of George HOOPER, died 22nd November 1748 aged 56 years. Also Jane, wife of William Hooper, Junior, died 22nd November 1761 aged 32 years. Also George, son of above William Hooper, died 2nd December 1765 aged 4 years. Also Martha, wife of Richard GARRETT, daughter of George and Mary Hooper, died 24th April 1767 aged 48 years. Also the above George Hooper died 4th October 1768 aged 78 years. Also William and Jane, children of above William Hooper. William died 23rd December 1769 aged 3 years. Jane died 11th February 1770 aged 2 years.
    Also Mary, daughter of Daniel and Mary Hooper, died 15th July 1780 aged 12 years.
    Also Mary, wife of above Daniel Hooper, died 2nd August 1783 aged 40 years.
    Also their son Lewis (Tomson) Hooper died 3rd November 1783 aged 3 months 6 days.


    216. Martha, daughter of Daniel and Mary HOOPER, died 8th May 1793 aged 23 years.
    Also Sarah, daughter of above, died 7th August 1801 aged 30 years 9 months.
    Also the above Daniel Hooper died 10th July 1803 aged 75 years 10 months.
    Also Daniel, only son of above, died 12th January 1838 aged 31 years.
    Also Ann WINTER, relict of above, widow of Samuel Winter, of Southwood House, died 12th January 1838 aged 65 years.
    Also Daniel, son of last named Daniel Hooper, died 9th May 1853 aged 55 years

    IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN
    I Lewis Thompson of Ramsgate in the Isle of Thanet in the County of Kent Marriner being in good bodily health and of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my Last Will in manner following First I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping for mercy through Jesus Christ and my body I leave to the earth or seas as it shall please God to dispose thereof and as to my worldly estate I declare as followeth First I will and order that all my just debts be fully satisfied and payed Item I give devise and bequeath to my loving wife Mary the Income or Revenue of all and singular my Estate and effects real and personal for her own use for and during such and so long time as she shall remain my Widow and if my said wife shall happen to marry again then I will and order that my said whole estate real and personal be divided into two equal moietys or half parts and in such case she shall have and enjoy the Income or Revenue of only one of the said moietys or half part for and during the time and term of her natural life and the capital or principal of the other moiety or half part shall go and belong to all and every my children begotten or to be begotten of my said wife by even and equal portions share and share alike at their respective ages of one and twenty years and in the meantime the Income or Revenue shall so apply towards their maintenance and education and at the death of my said wife the capital or principal of the moiety or half part of which she enjoyed the Income or Revenue for life shall likewise to be divided unto and among all and every my said children begotten and to be begotten of her by even and equal portions share and share alike But if my said wife shall dye my Widow then my express will and order is that she shall be at liberty by any writing under her hand and seal purporting her Last Will to be witnessed by two or more credible witnesses to dispose of the whole capital or principal of my Estate and Effects real and personal unto and among any said children begotten and to be begotten of her in such proportions as she my said wife shall think fit and my further express will and intent is that if at my decease I shall not leave any issue of my said wife living or the …… issue that shall afterwards be born and live or that of any such issue they shall all dye before the said age of one and twenty years then my said wife shall have the property of all and singular my said Estate and Effects real and personal for her to use enjoy and dispose thereof at her own Will and pleasure and I do hereby make constitute and appoint my said wife whole and sole Executrix of this my Will hereby revoking disannulling and making void all former and other Wills by me at any time herebefore made
    IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal in London the Twelfth day of august in the Twenty-second year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God King of Great Britain France and Ireland and in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and forty-eight Lewis Tomson Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have signed as witnesses in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other

    The before registered Will of Lewis Tomson deceased was proved the Eighteenth day of June `1757 before the Reverend Thomas Lamprey Clerk Surrogate to the Worshipful Edward Simpson Doctor of Laws official general to the Reverend Archdeacon of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Mary Tomson sole Executrix named in the said Will being first sworn duly to perform the same.

    THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me Mary Tomson of Ramsgate in the Isle of Thanet in the County of Kent Widow I being of sound and disposing mind and memory First I give devise and bequeath to my beloved Grand daughter Mary Wellard and to my niece Elizabeth White Spinster equally to be divided between them share and share alike as Tenants in Common and to their respective Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns after of my just Debts and funeral Charges All my messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments and Real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever with the Appurtenances Together with all my Monies Securities for Money Stocks in the Public funds Stock in Trade Plate Linen Apparel Household furniture and all other my Effects Goods Chattels and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever AND I appoint my said Grand daughter Mary Wellard and my said Niece Elizabeth White Executors of this my last Will and Testament and do hereby revoke all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the fourth day of April in the thirty-fourth year of the reign of King George the Third over Great Britain and in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety-four
