"Everywhere You Look:
German-American Sites in --SYRACUSE??"
Would you like to be able to take a virtual tour of past and present German-American
sites in and around Onondaga County? Would you like to see the
architectural and cultural landmarks and neighborhoods important to
our German-American ancestors that still exist today? A Virtual Tour of
German-American heritage in and around Syracuse is a possibility--but not yet a reality.
The Goethe Institut of Washington, D.C. has already helped sponsor the three exciting
virtual tours listed above, and is willing to help with one in Syracuse. All that is needed is
interest and support from the local community. A German-language teacher, a class of
students willing to take on the project, and one or two local sponsors
may be all that is needed to make it
happen.
If you like what you
see of the other three cities and want the same for
Syracuse and Onondaga County (before even more of our
German-American cultural heritage sites disappear),
