He married Marie Louise Vaillancourt, daughter of Jean Baptiste Vaillancourt and Marie Perpetue Ouellet, on 12 November 1846 at Parish of St-Alexis, Grande-Baie, Chicoutimi, Québec, Canada. He died after 1900 at Minnesota.

2. i. Joseph² St. George, born 9 May 1839 at St. Louis de Kamouraska, Kamouraska, Québec, Canada; married Caroline Neveu.(Note: Joseph was born seven years prior to the marriage of his parents. His parents' marriage record states that the couple had a son named Joseph born in 1839 and names the godparents. A baptism record for Joseph has been found in 1839 naming the same godparents. There are many other records that prove Joseph's relationship to these parents, but that will have to wait until I can compose a full essay on the matter and include a report here with all my source citations. Until then, I'm happy to answer any questions anyone may have about this unusual situation, but the relationship is confirmed.)

Joseph St. George was born on 9 May 1839 at St. Louis de Kamouraska, Kamouraska, Québec, Canada.

Joseph St. George married Caroline Neveu, daughter of Timothee Neveu and Emerence Tessier, in 1863.

Joseph St. George died on 27 May 1898 at Thief River Falls, Minnesota, at age 59.
Caroline Neveu was born on 21 March 1848 at Pointe Aux Bouleaux, near Goderich, Ontario, Canada. She died on 8 November 1943 at Duluth, Minnesota, at age 95.

Joseph died on 7 July 1944 at Miller Hospital, Duluth, Minnesota, of broncho pneumonia.
