Andrew Hamilton of Westburn, a cadet of the Hamiltons of Torrance, is believed to have been a son of Matthew Hamilton of Torrance.
His name first appears in 1604, in a deed under the Privy Seal,and again in the Commissary Records of Glasgow, 13 nov 1618.
