We're not sure when Dan and his two brothers came to America, probably about
1910. Dan & Gafia first lived in Cincinnati, Ohio. They moved to Detroit,
Michigan to work in the automotive plant. In the Depression, he worked
a 2nd job cleaning banks. Thus while other homes in the neighborhood
were forclosed on , Dan & Gafiea were able to make the payments and
hang on to their house.
