founders of Johnston, New York." [A&F-Gray-MNM] The John mentioned may have
been Sir William's brother, in contrast to his son, Sir John. [MB-SWJ-1979]
As of May 1997, other then A&F-Gray-MNM, we have no other sources
linking Louisa to Sir Willaim & Sir John. Our story came from Charles Gray,
grandson of Alexander & Louisa (Johnston) Gray. The Johnson connection needs
further independent proof & verification.
