Served in 11th Michigan Cavalry, Co. D. Enlisted Aug. 30, 1863. "Quincy
was very young and may have lied about his age when he enlisted."
After the war, he moved to Toledo,Ohio where he was involved in real
estate. In family reunion records, the name is also spelled "Quincie".
Pension records show that Quincy also served two months in Co. M of the 8th
Michigan Cavalry from which he was discharged at Nashville, TN, Sept. 22,
1865. He was wounded in the shoulder at Marion, VA in Dec. 1864.
