In the name of God Amen I John Wood of Hartlip in the County of Kent being in perfect Mind and Memory do make my last Will and Testament in manner following
First I commend my soul to Almighty God my Gracious Creator hoping to be saved by and through the Merrits of my Saviour Jesus Christ my body I leave to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named

Item I give to my son Richard Wood and Adam Ruck of Hartlip as in Trust for my said son Richard Mary John Paule and Joseph Wood, all my Linnen Woollen pewter Brass plate and all my personal Estate whatsoever they paying my debts Funeral Expences And preving? for my Three sons John Paule and Joseph so as to put them out as Apprentices to such trades as they shall like and making provision for Cloathing my above said Three sons during their Apprentiship and after these Expences are paid my Will and Meaning is that the overplus if any, be equally divided between my said sons and daughter, they first paying and allowing the above Adam Ruck five pound for his trouble in acting as Trustee

and I do hereby make the abovesaid Richard Wood and Adam Ruck my Executors of this my last will and Testament
In witness whereof I the said John Wood have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourth day of July Anno domini 1732 John Wood signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who subscribed our Names in the presence of the said Testator

The above written Will was proved the 10th day of October 1733 before Mr Charles North Batchelor of Law surrogate to the Worshipful George Lee ---- -- --- official general to the Reverend Archdeacon of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Richard Wood and Adam Ruck executors therein named they being sworne well and truly to performe the same
