In the Name of God Amen I Nathaniel Wegg of the Parish of Saint Nicholas Deptford in the County of Kent victualler being weak in body but of sound & disposing mind memory and understanding Praised be God for the same do make this my last will & testament in manner & form following I will my Soul to Almighty God

and after payment of all just Debts which I may owe at the time of my decease and my funeral & testamentary Expences I give devise and bequeath unto my dear Son Robert Wegg upon his attaining the age of twenty one Years All and singular the Freehold Tithes belonging and payable to me in respect of land in or near the Parishes of Seal and Kemsing or either of them in the County of Kent
And also all my Freehold Estate wheresoever situate to hold the same to him my said dear Son his heirs Executors admors and assigns absolutely for ever

I give devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my Property and Estate of what nature or kind the same shall be or consist of at the time of my decease unto my dear Wife Elizabeth Wegg to hold the same unto my said dear wife for and during the term of her natural life
and from & after her decease I give devise & bequeath the same unto and amongst All and every my Children who shall survive my said Wife share and share alike

and my will & meaning is that my said Wife shall from and out of the proceeds of the residue of my Estate so left to her for her life maintain and Educate my said Children until they shall respectively attain the age of twenty one Years or be able to maintain themselves and also do all in her power for their advancement in life

and in case my said dear wife shall die before my said Children shall attain the age of twenty one Years I request my Executor hereinafter named to see to the bringing up of such of my Children as shall be under that age and not to pay the proportion or share of my Estate belonging to him her or them until he she or they shall so respectively attain that age

and I do direct that all & singular my Estate & Effects so given to my said dear Wife for her life shall not be subject to the controul Debts Engagements or management of any future husband or husbands with whom she may hereafter intermarry but that she shall have the sole management thereof under & according to this my Will and that her receipt or receipts alone shall notwithstanding her Coverture be good and sufficient discharges

And I further will and direct that in case my Executor and Executrix hereinafter named shall think fit to dispose of any of my Leasehold Property they shall be at liberty so to do but that they shall be accountable to my said Children for the sum or sums of money such Leasehold Premises shall sell for

I also give unto my Servant George Richardson a suit of mourning

and I hereby appoint my said wife Executrix and my dear Brother William Wegg Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made and I do declare this only to be and contain my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eighteen
