IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN the second day of the month of October in the yer of our lord god 1531 I John Tylney of the Towne of Faversham in the countie of Kent and Canterbury Diocese vexed souewith syknesse and feble of bodye but in good remembranne laude and praysying be to Almighty god do convey ordeyne and make this my present testament and last wyll yn this manner and fourme foloweng that is to saye First I bequethe my soule to almighty god to his blessed mother our lady saynte mary vyrgyne and to all the holy company of heven and my body to be buried in the parishe churchyard of our blessed lady of Faversham forsaid Item I bequethe to the high Aulter of the same parishe church for my Tythes neghgently forgotten 8 d

The Residue of all my moveable goodes and catalles wher so ever it be dette and legacies fulfilled and paid I give and bequeth to John my eldest sonne whome I constitute make and ordeyne my sole executor the same to the effecte
These witnessith William Montageu Notary Nicholas Burwashe John vawtar Theldre and Thomas Huinsray [?] with otheer write The day and yere above wrytten

THIS IS THE LAST WILL of me the said John Tylney theldre made the day and yeeere above wrytten as towchyng the disposition of all my lande and tenaments that I or any other to my use have or hath withyn the towne parishe and libertie of Faversham / I give and bequeth to the above said John Tylney my eldest son he payeng the sume of money that is behynde unpaid as it appereth yn the dede endeiiked of Reentre / And he to kepe order and fynde to his mother all manner of thynges to her necossary durying her natural liff so that she never do mary competotly and saffroietly to his power / And also he shall kepe Johis his yongest brother untill he be hale to helpe hymselff and to get his livyng Writen the daye above specifiede and reherced
