I ROBERT TYE of Sevenoaks in the county of Kent husbandman being aged and infirm but of sound and disposing mind and memory (praised be God) and calling to mind the certainty of death and the uncertainty thereof, I therefore make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner following first I resign my soul into the hands of almighty God and my body I commit to the earth to be decently buryed at the discretion of my Executrix and Executor hereafter named and as to my estate I dispose of the same as followoth.

Imprimis I give to my loveing wife ELIZABETH the sum of forty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain.
Item: I give to my son MARTIN TYE the sum of five pounds of like money.
Item: I give to my son RICHARD forty shillings and to my son SAMUEL forty shillings to be paid to them and each of them within one month after my decease.

Item: I give to my said wife ELIZABETH and to my said son MARTIN all goods household stuff bedds bedding furniture plate linen and woollen whatsoever except the great table in the kitchen in my now dwelling house which I do will and give to my son SAMUEL TYE and my will is that my goods and household stuff be equally divided between my said wife and my son MARTIN or otherwise as they shall agree about the same and I do hereby make and ordain my said wife and son MARTIN executors of this my last will and my will and meaning further is that from and after all my just debts legacies and funeral expenses are paid and discharged which I desire may be done as conveniently may be that then all such moneys and personal estate as shall remain shall be forthwith equally divided between and amongst my said wife and all my children six sons and two daughters share and share alike

in witness whereof I the said ROBERT TYE have to this my last will and testament (revoking all former and other wills) set my hand and seal this first day of January in the eleventh year of the reign of our sovereign lord George by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland king defender of the faith anno domini one thousand seven hundred and twenty four (ROBERT TYE his mark) signed sealed published and declared by the said ROBERT TYE the testator to be his last will and testament in the presence of us whom his presence subscribed our names as witnesses:
