In the Name of God Amen I John Sills being of sound and perfect mind and memory praysed be God Do make my will and Testament the Twenty fifth day of July in the year of our Lord Christ 1735
First and principally I commit my Soul to God that gave it trusting that in and through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ my Blessed Saviour and Redeemer to obtain remission of my sins and everlasting life, and for my body to be decently buried by my Executors hereafter named, and for my temporal goods wherewith it has pleased God to bless me withal I dispose as followeth

Imprimis I give and bequeath to Sarah my dearly beloved wife two farms they lying at a place called Sears Street and all the lands thereunto belonging and with all the goods and chattels and moveables thereunto belonging, during her natural life
and after her decease to her children Mary Stokes, Sarah Merchant & Tamson Brown or their heirs to be equally divided between them, and after their decease to the heirs of the deceased for ever, and not to be sold.

Imprimis I give and bequeath to my grandson John Chambers twenty pounds to be paid by the Executors when he comes of age but in case that this said John Chambers should die before he comes of age that the said twenty pounds is to return to the said Executors

Imprimis I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved son Gabriel Stokes the sum of five pounds for his trouble and whom I likewise constitute make and ordain and Sarah my dearly beloved wife my only and sole Executor and Executrix of this my last will and testament all and singular my land messuages and tenements by her freely possessed and enjoyed

And I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former testaments wills and legacies requests and executors by me in any ways before this time named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament

Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said John Sills as his last Will and Testament in the presents of us the subscribers

The within written will was proved by the oaths (of) Gabriel Stokes and Sarah Sills the relict of the dec’d and Executors therein named they being sworn well and truly to perform the same. By commission.
