In the Name of God Amen
I give and bequeath to my third son Robert Sale the sum of Five hundred Pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid him within one year of my decease

And as to all the rest and residue of my real and Personal Estates wheresoever and whatsoever I give and bequeath equally amongst my four Sons David, James, Robert and Thomas

In the Goods of Hannah Sale Wo dec’d

Appeared Personally Sarah Silver of Brixton in the parish of Saint Mary Lambeth in the County of Surrey widow and Jane Pool of the same place spinster and jointly and severally made Oath that they knew and were well acquainted with Hannah Sale late of Sundridge in the County of Kent Widow deceased for many years before and to the time of her death And also with her manner and character of handwriting and subscription this deponent Jane Pool having often seen her write and subscribe her Name and having now carefully viewed and perused the paper writing hereunto annexed purporting to be the last Will and Testament of the said deceased beginning thus “In the Name of God Amen I give and bequeath” ending thus “equally amongst my four sons David, James, Robert and Thomas” and thus subscribed “H. Sale” these deponents jointly and severally depose that they do verily and in their consciences believe that the Name H. Sale set and subscribed to the said paper Writing is of the proper handwriting and Subscription of the said Hannah Sale Widow deceased

22nd Sept’r 1809 the said Sarah Silver Widow and Jane Pool Spinster were duly sworn to the truth of this Affidavit before me J. Stoddart Surr. Preo. Henry Stevens Not. Pub.

On the twenty fifth day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and nine Administration with the Will annexed of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of Hannah Sale late of Sundridge in the County of Kent Widow deceased was granted To David Sale the Son of the said deceased and one of the Residuary Legatees named in the said Will having been first sworn duly to Adm’r. No Executor being named in the said Will.
