In the Name of God Amen.
The sixth day of November in the thirty third year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland Defender of the Faith and so forth in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Nine. I Robert Relph the Elder of Tonbridge in the county of Kent, yeoman, being aged and infirm in Body out of a sound and disposing Mind and Memory praised be God for the same Do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say First and Principally Surrender up my soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping to be saved on and through the only Merit and Satisfaction of Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer and my Body [ ] to the earth to be decently interred and buried by and at the [?discretion] of my executors hereinafter named.
Also I do hereby will, order and require my executors hereinafter named to pay and discharge such debts as I shall justly owe at the time of my decease to any persons whatsoever and also my funeral expenses and the charges of proving this will and all other [?jurident] charges and all the Rest and Residue of my Ready Money, Debts, Goods, chattels, and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever I do give and bequeath unto my four sons and three daughters hereinafter named, that is to say Robert Relph, John Relph, Richard Relph and Thomas Relph my sons and Mary the wife of Grantham Meads, Jane Relph and Sarah Relph, my daughters to be equally divided and shared between them my said sons and daughters share and share alike and to take as tenants in common and not as joint tenants
and I so hereby make and ordain my said two sons
Robert Relph and John Relph joint executors of this my last will and testament and lastly
I do hereby revoke all former wills by me formerly made. In witness whereof I the said
Robert Relph the Testator of this last will and testament contained in one sheet of paper
have set my hand and seal dated the day and year first above written.
Robert Relph [the name was signed] signed sealed published and declared by the said
Robert Relph the Testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who
subscribed our namesas witnesses to the same in the presence of the same Testator –

This will was proved at London on the Eighth Day of October in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Three before the Worshipful George [ ] Doctor of laws and Surrogate of the Right Worshipful Sir Edward Simpson Knight also Doctor of laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury Lawfully constituted by the oath of Robert Relph the son of the said deceased and one of the executors named in the said will to whom administration of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased unto granted he having first sworn duly to administer [ ] Power reserved of making the like grant to John Relph the son also of the said deceased and the other executor named in the said will when he shall apply for the same.
