In the Name of God Amen the fourth day of May in the thirteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Ann Anno Dom 1714 I George Petman of Egerton in the County of Kent Yeoman
Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Couson Mary Growell (whom I constitute and ordain sole executrix of this my last will and testament) all my moneys plate household stuffe chattels Cattell whatsoever she paying and discharging all my just Debts ffuneral Expense and legacies herinafter by me given

Item I give and bequeath unto Robert Hope of Egerton aforsd. Junior the sum of five pounds of lawfull Money of Great Britain provided he shall be helpful and assisting of my executrix in the business which I haveleft to her which my Mind and will is that she should so do

Item my Mind and Will is that Stephen Haffenden Curat of Egerton aforesaid shall preach my ffuneral Sermon for which I will and bequeath him the Sume of twenty Shillings to be paid him by my Executrix
Item I give and bequeath to the poor of the parish of Egerton aforesaid the sum of twenty shillings of lawfull Money of Great Britain to be paid by my Executrix within three Months after my decease

In Witness I the said George Petman, have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first abovewritten George Petman Signed Sealed publishedand declared by the said George Petman as his last Will and Testament revoking all other wills and Testaments heretofore by him written in the presence of us
