IN the name of GOD AMEN the 26th of February Anno Dmi 1655 I Joyce Mattson of the Parish of Sibertswold in the County of Kent, widow, being weake of bodie but sound and perfect memory the Lord be praised for the same doe advisedly and considerately ordaine this my last Will and Testament as followeth.
FIRST and before all other things I committ my soule into the hands of God who gave it trusting that my sinns are __________ by the merite of Jesus Christ my Saviour my bodie I comend to the Earth to be buried at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named the estate temporall that God hath indued me with as followeth..

ITEM I give and bequeath unto my sonne William Mattson ten shillings and to his oldest sonnes Robert and John tenn pounds a piece to be payed two years after my decease and to his sonne William and to his daughter Elizabeth ten pounds a peece to be payed three yeares after my decease, to be paid to my sonne William theire father and I will that hee shall pay the said severall sumes of moneys to them after his decease or at twenty yeares of age.

ITEM I give unto my sonne John Mattson one shilling and to his two oldest sonnes John and Robert ten pounds a piece and to his daughter Margaret ten pounds and to his youngest sonne Edward ten pounds to be payed to John and Robert two yeares after my decease and to his daughter Margaret and his sonne Edward three yeares after my decease and I will that my Executor shall pay these severall sumes to theire father John Mattson and I will these sumes of moneys to be paid to them at his decease or at twenty yeares of age.

ITEM I give and bequeath unto my sonne Robert Habos or to Hanna his wife the sume of twenty pounds to be paid two yeares after my decease.

ITEM I give and bequeath unto my daughter Bennet twenty pounds to be paid two years after my decease.
ITEM I give and bequeath unto my grandchild Elizabeth Griffen twenty pounds to be paid six yeares after my decease..
ITEM I give unto my daughter Hanna Habos first borne the sume of ten pounds to be paid six years after my decease.
ITEM I will and bequeath unto my daughter Dorothie the sume of fifteen pounds to be paid one yeare after my decease.

My Will and meaning is that if the above said William Mattson, John Mattson Bennet Oine, Hanna Habos, Dorothie Oare, Elizabeth Griffen or if they or any of them or theire children aforesaid shall happen to dye before the severals sumes of moneys is due that the porcon or porcons of the deceased shall be equally divided I say if that they shall dye when theires lawfully begotten of theire bodies before theire legacie or legacies is come due then that the legacy of him or her or them that shall dye before the legacy come due then the legacy shall be equally divided betweene the brothers and sisters or the heires of theire bodies lawfully begotten.

Further my meaning is that within one month or six weeks after my decease there be a perfect and true inventory made of all the goods and chattells, money and debts that I shall dye possessed of or landright, claime or title to. Further if any of the above said shall withold or purloyne or fraudulently keep backe any part of the estate to the value of five ____ be it money or goods or debts and not make it invisible? at the time of the apprizement having notice thereof I make him or her incapable of my will and the benefit thereof

and doe hereby ordaine and appoint my sonne James Matson my full and whole executor to this my last Will and Testament. Joyce Mattson her marke Witnesses
