Will of Robert Hodsoll

In the name of god Amen. The fifth of March Anno Diem 1591 I Robert Hodsoll of Kemsing in the county of Kent yeoman being sick in body but whole in mind thanked be god do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following:
First I bequeath my soul to the Almighty and my body to be buried in the church of Kemsing.

Item I will that my nephew Thomas Hodsoll shall have all my wheat in the barn and house in part payment of 18 pounds which I do owe unto him and what the wheat shall want of 18 pounds in price I will shall be paid unto my said nephew Thomas in money at the nativity of St. John the Baptist next coming by mine executrix.

Item I will that my nephews William Hodsoll and Thomas Hodsoll shall have the custody wardship and marrying of my son-in-law John Shepperd in as ample manner and form as I the said Robert Hodsoll had of our sovereign lady the Queen Majesty that now is by an indenture bearing date the 23rd day of September in the 25th year of her majesty's reign my said nephews William and Thomas to pay unto my daughter Joane Hodsoll the sum of twenty pounds of lawful money of England at the age of 21 years or at her day of marriage which shall happen first.

Item I will and bequeath unto my niece Joane Hodsoll 10s to be paid within three years next after my decease.
Item: I will and bequeath unto mine old friend Mr. Lancelott Lovelace 8s upon condition that he shall direct aid and assist my said nephews William and Thomas in all their business about the seeing out the liveries and meanerates? the said John Stephen?

All the residue of my goods and chattels my funeral and debts discharged and paid I will and bequeath unto Luce my wife whom I make and ordain my whole and only executrix
