Note: Edward Harrison wrote a 218 page book based on this collection and reprinted from Archaelogical Cantiana Vols 48 and 49. The book title is "The Court Rolls and other records of the Manor of Ightham, a contribution to local history" and it is in the LDS library and on FHL film #973323 item 4.

Some time ago, while researching at the CKS, we found this superb and unique collection made by Sir Edward Harrison. It is absolutely invaluable to anyone researching families in the Ightham area.

To use the index, Harrison's refs. refer to entries in Record Books by Harrison as follows:
"A53" is in Book RA, page 53, the 'R' stands for Record Book. An accompanying sheet produced by the CKS, gives the second reference for the Record Book in question, e.g. Book RA is their ref. /45. Therefore to order the right book for A53, the full ref. is TR584/45.
