In the Name of God Amen I John Gillbee of the Town and Port of Dover in the County of Kent Bricklayer do hereby make publish and declare my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) ffirst I direct all my just Debts Funeral Expenses and the Charges of proving and executing this my Will be paid and satisfied and after payment and satisfaction thereof I dispose of my Estate and Effects as follows

I Give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary all my Personal Esate Household Goods Plate Linnen and China to be by her Disposed of in such way and manner as she shall think proper

Item all my ffreehold and Messuages or Tenements Limekilns Land Hereditaments and Premisses and all my real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever that I shall dye possessed of Interested in or Intitled unto I Give Devise and Bequeath the same and every part thing unto my Kinsman Nicholas Gillbee of London Gentleman and to his heirs and Assigns To the use of my Sone Thomas Gillbee of Dover aforesaid Draper his Heirs and Assigns for ever Upon Trust Nevertheless to permit and suffer my said Wife Mary to receive and enjoy the Rents Interests? And Profits thereof during the Term of her Natural Life she keeping the same in good and Tenantable repair and from and immediately after her Death upon Trust for such person and persons and for such Estate and Estates and subject to and under such Powers Conditions Limittations and Charges with and without power of Revocation and in such sort manner and form as my said Son Thomas Gillbee shall from time to time and at an time or times during his natural Life by any Deed or Writing Deeds or Writing under his Hand and Seal Attested by two or more Credible Witnesses or by his last Will and Testament in Writing or by an writing purporting to be his last Will and Testament to be by him duly executed in the presence of three or more credible Witnesses Devise Direct Limit or appoint and for want of such Devise Direct Limitation or Appointment and in the meantime and until such Devise Direction Limittation or Appointment shall be made or as to such part or Parts therof wherefore such Devise Direction Limittation or appointment shall be made Or if any such Devise Direction Limittation or Appointment shall be made Then and in such case as and when the several Estates and Interests thereby to be devised directed Limitted or Appointed shall respectively cease end or Determine to the only proper use and behoof of my said Son Thomas his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to and for no other use Intent or purpose whatsoever

Item I Give and bequeath unto the said Nicholas Gillbee a mourning Ring of one Guinea Value
And I do Appoint my said son Thomas and my said Kinsman Nicholas Gillbee Executors of this my Will And I do revoke all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this only my last will In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two Sheets of Paper to the first sheet thereof set my hand and to the Second and last Sheet my Hand and Seal the Thirteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy nine. John Gillbee Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our Names as Witnesses hereto

I John Gillbee of the town and Port of Dover in the County of Kent Bricklayer being of sound perfect and disposing mind memory and understanding (God be praised therefore) Do make and publish this Codicil to my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say

I give and bequeath unto Mary Gillbee Wanstone the natural daughter of Sarah Wanstone late of the Town and Port of Dover aforesaid Singlewoman in case the said Mary Gillbee Wanstone shalle live to attain the age of Twentyone years but not otherwise the Sum of One Hundred Pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid unto her out of my real Estate to and for her own proper use and benefit when and as soon as she shall attain the said Age of Twenty one years and for the better securing the payment of the said sum of One Hundred Pounds I do hereby charge all and singular my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever with the payment thereof

And I do hereby publish and declare this to be a Codicil to and part and parcel of my last Will and Testament and desire it may be annexed thereto In witness whereof I the said John Gillbee have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty fifth Day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy nine. John Gillbee signed sealed published and declared by the said John Gillbee to be a Codicil to and part and parcel of his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses hereunto
