In the Name of God Amen I JEFFRIE FOARTE of the Parish of Ash - n - Sandwich in the County of Kent though sicke in bodie yet of sound and perfect minde and memorye the Lord therefore be praised do make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following. I give my soule to God that gave it mee as into the Hands of a faithfull Creator and Redeemer in sure and certaine hope of eternall salvation of soule and bodie at the last and ____ day by the power of my Redeemer Jesus Christ and soe for ever after to be with the Lord.
Item I give my bodie to be buried in the Parish Churchyard of Ash aforesaid after a decent and seemely manner as becometh a Christian mine Executor hereafter mentioned.

Item I will and bequeath unto my daughter MARTHA MOCKETT wife of JOHN MOCKETT the sume of twenty pounds of lawfull monie of England to be paid unto her according to the time hereafter mentioned.
Item I give unto JOHN MOCKETT son of JOHN MOCKETT and my daughter MARTHA two of my best ewe sheepe.

Item I give unto my daughter MARGARET OVILL wife of DAVID OVILL the sume of twenty pounds of lawfull monie of England to be paid as aforesaid.
Item I give unto WILLIAM OVILL son of DAVID OVILL and MARGARET my daughter the sume of twenty shillings.

Item I give unto my daughter ELIZABETH FOARTE the sume of thirty pounds of lawfull monie of England to be paid unto her according to the time hereunder expressed.
Item I give unto my daughter SUSAN FOARTE the sume of thirty pounds of like English monie to be paid unto her according to the time hereunder by me appointed.
I give unto my daughter EASSRIE FOARTE the sume of thirty pounds of like English monie to be paid unto her in manner aforesaid.

I give and bequeath unto my sonne ROBERT FOARTE one peece or parcell of arable land by estimation three acres more or less situate lying and being in Ash aforesaid and at or near a place there called West Marsh and now in the occupation of THOMAS FOART or his assigns together with there and every of there appurtenances which said peece or parcell of arrable land abutteth to the lands of William Bowle and Henrie Rigden towards the South and to the Drove Way towards the West and to the lands of the Heires of MICHAELL ______rie and the forstall? towards the North and towards the Lands of GEORGE MAY towards the East unto my sonne ROBERT aforesaid and the heirs of his bodie lawfully begotton forever.

Item I give unto my sonne JEFFRIE FOARTE one messuage or tenement together with the barn garden orchard and backside and one acre and a halfe of Marsh Land to the said messuage or tenement belonging or apertaining situate being and together being in Ash aforesaid and now in the tennance and occupation of Elias Rose or his assigns together with the appurtenances which messuages tenements lands and premissess abutterth to the lands of William Brooke towards the North and to the Common Drove Way towards the South and next to a place called Walls End Streame towards the East unto my son JEFFERIE FOARTE and to the heirs of his bodie lawfully begotten forever.

Item My will and meaning is if it shall soe happen that my son ROBERT or my sone JEFFERIE shall depart this life and die without heirs that then which sooner of them shall survive and outlive the other soe living without heirs the last survivor shall enjoy the others part and soe to him and his heirs forever.

Item Also my will and meaning is that mine Executors hereafter mentioned shall not or may not at any time or times after my decease during the time of Executorship sell or call down any timber or timber like trees growing or being upon my lands before bequeathed only the Ashen topps there growing and noe other.

Item I nominate and appoint MARGARETT my wife and JEFFERIE FOARTE my son to be the whole and sole Executor Executors of this my last Will and Testament to make my funnerall and to pay my funnerall expenses And to them I give all the rest of my moveable goods where ever and whatsoever I ame possession of my Debts and Legacies being by them first paid.

Item Further my will is that if any of my daughters that are now virgins shall happen to marrie while MARGARETT my wife liveth that then she shall pay unto my said daughter or daughters or as many of them as shall marry in her lifetime ten pounds apiece as being in part of the said sume of thirty pounds about expressed att or upon their Day of Marriage or within one and thirty dayes next after.
And further my will is that in the end of one whole yeare next after the decease of MARGARETT my wife whensoever it shall happen the said JEFFERIE my sone Coexecutor with my wife MARGARETT the said JEFFERIE my sone or his assigns shall pay unto my daughters above expressed all such sume or sumes of money as are then behind or unpaid to the full sume of thirty pounds apiece according as is above expressed.

Item My will is also that att the end of three yeares next after the death of MARGARETT my wife JEFFERIE my sone or his assigns or Overseers shall pay unto MARTHA MOCKETT wife of JOHN MOCKETT and MARGARETT OVILL wife of DAVID OVILL my daughters ten pounds apiece.
And att the end of the fourth yeare next after the decease of MARGARETT my wife whensoever it shall happen the said JEFFERIE my sone or his assigns Executors or Overseers shall pay unto my daughters MARTHA and MARGARETT ten pounds apeece are so due of the said sume of twenty pounds above expressed.

And lastlie my will and meaning is that MARGARETT my now wife shall hold possess and enjoy all that my one messuage or tenement lands and premises whatsoever before mentioned free from the trouble junction molestation hindrance of any person or persons whatsoever so longe as she liveth.

And I doe hereby utterlie and defect and make voyde all other wills formerlie by me made and acknowledge this to be the last by me made. In Witness whereof I have hereunto putt my hand and seale the five and twentieth Day of June in the 13th yeare of the Reigne of our most gracious sovereign Lord King Charles the Second over England and Scotland Anno Dmi 1661
