Land Tax Assessment at Edenbridge 1781

Transcribed by Lionel Cole.

Note that Land Tax assessments are by tithings or "taxation boroughs" and not by parish. Edenbridge taxation borough includes a portion of Cowden and excludes two areas in the east of Edenbridge parish. In order to distinguish my identifications from the source material I have printed the former in red. Houses are identified by their number in the 1844 Tithe Award Survey. Farm cottages of course were not assessed separately from their farms.
