This is the last Will and Testament of me Richard Denne of the Parish of Eastry in the County of Kent, Gentleman.

First I do give and devise unto my niece Martha Denne of Eastry aforesaid, spinster the daughter of my late brother David Denne deceased and to her heirs and assigns for ever all and every my messuages lands tenements and hereditaments situate lying and being in the said County of Kent or elsewhere she my said niece paying thereout the several legacies and sums of money hereafter mentioned.

I give and bequeath to my niece Elizabeth Harris of Wingham in Kent, widow the sum of twenty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain.
I give and bequeath unto my nephew David Denne of Wingham, Yeoman the sum of five pounds of like money.
I give and bequeath unto my servant Mary Wellard the sum of ten pounds of like money.
I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Wellard of Canterbury, spinster the sum of five pounds of like money.
I give and bequeath unto Martha Wellard of Deal in Kent, spinster the sum of five pounds of like money.
All which legacies I do order and direct my Executrix hereafter named to pay and discharge within one year next after my decease. And I do hereby charge the messuages lands tenements and hereditaments with the easement thereof.

Also I give and bequeath all the ready money household goods and furniture and all other my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever and whereof I shall die possessed after payment of my debts and funeral expenses unto my said niece Martha Denne to and for her own use.

And I do hereby make ordain nominate and appoint my said niece Martha Denne the sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.

And lastly I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I the said Richard Denne have hereunto set my hand and seal the thirtieth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy five. Richard Denne. Signed sealed published and declared by the said Richard Denne the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence and at the request of the said Richard Denne the Testator.

The before registered will of Richard Denne deceased was proved the seventeenth day of October 1775 before the Reverend John Tucker, Clerk Surrogate to the Worshipful Andrew Coltee Ducarel Doctor of Laws, Commissary General of the City and Diocese of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Martha Denne the sole Executrix named in the said will her being first sworn well and truly to perform the same.
