In the Name of God Amen I Susanna Dan of the parish of Leeds in the County of Kent Widow being of sound and perfect Mind and memory God be praised do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in Manner and Forme following that is to say
First and principally I commend my soul unto the hands of almighty God my creator begging pardon for all my sins and hoping to obtain everlasting life by the precious and meritorious death and sufferings of my blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and my body I commit to the earth desiring it may be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor herein after named and as to such worldly Estate werewith it hath pleased God to bless me I dispose thereof as follows

Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my daughter Susanna the wife of Stephen Woollett the sume of thirty pounds of lawfull money of Great Brittain
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary the wife of John Saunders the like sume of thirty pounds
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Catherine the wife of George Davis the like sume of thirty pounds
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah the wife of John Burr the like sume of thirty pounds

Which said several legacys I do order and direct shall be paid in the hands of my said severall daughters for their own sole and separate use and benefit within six months after my decease by my Executor herein after named out of the Moneys I have now out at interest

And my will and meaning is that in case any part of the Monies I have now or shall herein after have out at Interest upon my security or securities shall happen to be lost by bad or insufficient securitys or other wise that then and in such case all and every said daughters herein before mentioned shall abate and deduct and allow an equal and proper …able part and share out of their said Legacys according and in proportion to such sume or sumes of money which … or may be left as aforesaid

Item I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Sarah the wife of the said John Burr my Flock bed and bedsteddle close curtains and valence boulster pillow rug and blankets together with one pair of my homade? Sheets

Item I give and bequeath all my wearing apparel both silk linen and woollen of all sorts to be equally divided between my said four daughters share and share alike

And I do hereby make and ordain my son William Dan Executor of this my last Will and Testament unto whom I give and devise all the rest and residue of my goods chattles ready money and personal Estate whatsoever after my debts Legacys and funeral expences are paid and discharged

In Witness whereof to this my last Will and Testament contained in two sheets of paper I have to each of the said sheets set my hand and to this last sheet my hand and seal the two and twentieth day of January in the tenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith etc. and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty six – Susanna Dann Signed sealed published and declared by the said Susanna Dann as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who subscribed our names as Witnesses hereunto in the presence of the said Susanna Dann
