In the Name of God Amen. I William Cox of Harrietsham in the County of Kent Carpenter being weak in Body but of Sound & Disposing Mind Memory and Understanding (praised be God for the same) Do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in Manner and Form following (that is to say)

I Give and Devise to my Sister Mary Hope the sum of Five Pounds

Item I Give and bequeath the sum of Five Pounds each to my Several Cousins herein after Named Vizt. John, Elizabeth, Mary and Ann Cox, Son & Daughters of my late Brother John Cox; Elizabeth Cox and Susanna Tupper, Daughters of my Sister Eleanor Tupper, and Elizabeth Hope, Daughter of my Sister Mary Hope to be paid them on their Attaining to the several ages of Twenty Ones Years or Days of Marriage which shall first Happen;

Item I give and bequeath unto my Cousin Susanna Tupper My Eight Day Clock

Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother Robert Cox (after payment of the aforesaid Legacys Just Debts propation of this my Will and other Incident Charges) My dwelling House work shopes Garden and Appurtenances thereunto belonging now in My Own Occupation and in the Occupation of James Hughes, with all the residue and remainder of All and Singular my Ready Money and Securetys for Money, Chattels Effects and personal Estate of what Nature or kind soever which I shall be possessed of Intrested in or Intitled unto at the time of my Decease

And lastly I do make Constitute and Appoint my said Brother Robert Cox my Sole Executor of this my last Will And I do hereby revoke all former will or Wills by me heretofore made and do declare this to be and contain my last will and Testament

In witness whereof I, the said William Cox, have to this My last Will and Testament sett My Hand and Seal this Twenty Second Day of November in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty One.

Signed sealed published and Declared by the said William Cox as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of Us who have Subscribed our Names as Witnesses in his presence and in the presence of Each other

Probate : 19 June 1802
Robert Cox the Brother and sole Executor named in this will was duly sworn as usual And that the Goods Chattels and Credits do not amount in value to the Sum of twenty pounds Before me Joshua Dix, Surrogate
