THIS IS THE LAST WILL and Testament of me Thomas Chapman of Fawkham in the County of Kent Yeoman. I give to my three Cousins Elizabeth Wakeman Philadelphia Wakeman and Nicholas Wakeman fifty pounds a piece when they attain the ages of twenty one years

All the rest and residue of my personal Estate, Live and Dead Stock of every kind I give and bequeath unto Mary Cooper of Fawkham aforesaid and to her Son John Cooper jointly between them during the life of her the said Mary Cooper and at and after the decease of the said Mary Cooper then to the said John Cooper his heirs and Assigns But my Will and mind Is that the said Mary Cooper and her Son John Cooper shall take care and provide for my Mother Mary Chapman during her life

and I do hereby appoint my Uncle Nicholas Wakeman and the said Mary Cooper Executors to this my Will hereby revoking and declaring to be void all other Wills and I do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this twenty third day of June in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy[ninety] six Thomas Chapman Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Thomas Chapman the Testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us and who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have Subscribed our Names and Witness hereto

This Will was proved at London the nineteenth Day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety six before the Worshipful John Sewell Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Honourable Sir William Wynne Knight also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Nicholas Wakeman the Uncle of the Deceased and Mary Cooper Widow Executors named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattells and Credits of the said deceased having been first sworn duly to administer
