IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN the 15th daye of November the 34th yeare of our most gracious soverign Lady Elizabeth by the grace of god of England France and Ireland Quene defender of the faith and in the year of lord god 1593 I Stephen Burwashe of the parishe of Egerton in the countie of kent yeoman being sicke of bodie but sound in minde and in perfecte remembrennce prysed be god doo ordeyne and make this my present Testament and laste will in manner and forme following. First I bequethe my soule unto the handes of all mightie god my maker and my bodie to be buried where yt shall please god.

Firste I give unto Lettice Burwashe my daughter 30 L of lawfull money of England to be paid unto her at ye even portions which is to say 15 L at Christmas next after my decease and the other 15 L at Christmas followinge. Allsoe I give unto her 2 flockbeds one that she hath all reudye and that she uppon and 2 bed blanckets 2 coverings one bolster 4 payer of sheets and 6 pewter platters 3 pewter dishes 3 porreugers 2 latten caudlosticks and my secoud brasse pott one alte without a lyd and one canvas tablecloth one latten chafingdish which I will to be paid and delveared by my Executor

Allsoe I give unto Elizabeth Burwashe my daughter 30 L of good and lawfull money to be paid unto her at 2 even portions which is to say 15 L at Christmas next after my decease and the other 15 L at Christmas following. Allsoe I give unto Elizabeth one fetherbed one featherbolster my pair of sheets 2 blanckets and coveringe 2 pillows and hollan table clothes and 6 pewter platters 3 pewter syshes 3 porreugers one great brasse potte and my best salte 2 latten candlesticks and my secaid keatle all to be paid and delyvered by my Executor.

Allsoe I give unto Joane Goull 2 d to be paid by my Executor.
Allsoe I give unto Thomas Burwashe my sonne 6 L and 10 s to be paid at Christmus next after my decease and unto Thomas a chest to be paid and delyvered by my Executor.
Allsoe I give unto Alexander Burwashe my sonne 16 L 10 s to be paid unto him at Barthollmewtide next after my decease. And I give unto him one chest standnige to the bedside in the parlor to be paid and delyvered by my Executor.
Allsoe I give unto Joane Bridge my daughter 40 s to be paid unto her within one whole yeare after my decease by my Executor.
Allsoe I give unto the poore people of this parishe 10 s to be distributed at christmas next after my decease by my Executor.
Allsoe I give unto Stephen Boorman of Hedcorne 12 d.
Allsoe I give unto John Burwashe of Egerton 2 s.
And to Pleasant Spyce 12 d.
And to my godchildren at Pakers 12 d. All the said godchildren to be paid by my Executor.

All My Goods not allready given nor bequethed I wholye give and bequethe them to John Burwashe my sonne whome I ordeyne and make my sole Executor of this my present Testament and laste Will paying all my legacies and bequeathes which I have given and bequethed in this my last will and Testament Witnesses unto this my last will George Burwashe and Richard Collens
