In the name of god amen the 12th day of the monyth of Marche in the yere of oure lord god 1500 and one I Harry Burwashe of benynden with a hole mynde make my testament and last will in this wise. first I bequethe my soule to god allmyghty and to our lady saynt marie and to all the holy compeny of heaven my body to be buried in the churcheyerd of saynt george of benynden. Also I bequethe to the high alter ther for my tithes forgoten and neghgently witholden 12 pence.

Also I will that all thee lande and rente the whiche I have in eggerton by the last will of Richard Burwashe my fadre goo to farme 3 yer after my decese. And the profyttes therof comyng in the mene tyme I will that they be received by John Burwashe my brodre and he to kepe the repartions and paye the rente and the residue of the same profyttes be delivered to Johane Borne and after the ende of the said 3 yer then I will that my fadres feoffes deliver or doo to be delivered to Thomas Burwashe son of William Burwashe my brodre all my foresaid lande and tenaments in fee simple paying to the said Thomas Burwashe or his assign 20 marks of usuall money of England in forme folowing that is to say

first to an honest priest to syng in the churche of Benyden aforesaid for my fadre and modre soule for my soule and all customery soules by the space of a quarter of a yere 33 shillings 4 pence. Also to an honest priest to syng in like forme in the churche of egerton by the space of a quarter of a yere 33 shillings 4 pence. And 10 pounds residue of the said 20 marks to be payed by the said Thomas or his assign in 3 yeres immediately after that the said Thomas hath a state of the foresaid lande and tenaments to Nicholas Burwashe my brother 40 Shillings to John Burwashe the son of William Burwashe 40 shillings to Nicholas Burwashe another of the sonnes of William Burwashe 40 shillings . Also to Agnes my sister 26 shillings 8 pence to Julian my sister 26 shillings and 8 pence. Also to the mending of the foteway and the horseway betwene the messuage of the said John Burwash my brother and friddeforstall 26 shillings and 8 pence.

Also I will that if the said Thomas die within 1 yer after my decese then I will that the said Nicholas Burwashe brother to the said Thomas have all the aforesaid lande and tenaments in fee simple paying the foresaid charges as the said Thomas shold doo and the said 3 pounds 6 shillings 8 pence that the said Thomas hath payed for the singing of the prest that the said Nicholas brother to the said Thomas shall pay it aftre the disposition of the said Thomas. Also I ordeyne to Richard Bassenden my matrasse a payer of sheetes of blankettes a coverlitt and my bootes. Also I ordeyne to Agnes my sister my brass pott also to Julian Girdillard a underclothe a bolser a stopyn and the potthooke.

The residue of all my goode my dette bequeste and funeral expenses first payed I give it to the disposition of the said John Burwashe my brother that he dispose therin for the helling of my soule as best to hym may be soon expedient and the said John Burwashe my brother I make and ordeyne my executor by these presentes this wittnesses William Edynden Edward Golding and William Hubbard.
