In the name of God amen the first day of May In the 42 yere of the Raygne of our Soveraigne Ladi Queene Elyzabeth etc
I Jacob Brockwell of Borden in the County of Kent yeoman Being sik in Body But in perfect Remembrance doe make my last will and testament In manner and forme following
first I bequeth my Soul unto almighty God and my body to be Buryed in the church or churchyard of Borden and for my worldly Goods I Gyve them in manner following

Inprimis unto the pore of the parish of Borden I give 13s.4d to be Geven unto them presently after my desese

Item I Gyve unto syx children of my Brother master Raph Brockwell 10 shillings a pece to be payd unto them five whole yere after my desese

Item I Gyve unto my syster Were forty shillings to Be payd unto her on yere after my decease

Item I bequeth unto my syster Morrys 20 shillings unto John Danyell hir son 10 shillings to Mary Ashwell 10 shillings to be payd unto them a yere after my decease

Item I Gyve unto James Brockwell 20 shillings to be payd unto him when he doth come to the age of 21 yeres

Item I Gyve unto my wife An Brockwell that my house and tenement with the appurtenances and Lands belonging unto yt being Lying and Scituate in the parish of Bromfyld during her naturall Lyfe and the sayd Ann during her time kepe yt in Reparacyons
and after hir desese I Gyve yt unto my son Robart Brockwell and to hys heyres in fe sympell for ever

All the rest of my Goods unbequeathed I Gyve unto An my wife And Robart Brockwell my son whom I make whole executor of thys my last will and testament and that the sayd An and Robart shall pay Indyferently all my dets and other duties and Legacies perteynyng to them to be discharged

Provided that yf my wife An do happen hereafter to mary my will ys that the sayd An shall delyver up unto my overseers my suns portion except that the party with whom she doth purpose to mary shall put in sufficient bonds unto them for safty of his portion and also to pay unto my son towards his maintenance 18d the pound untyll he cum unto the age of 21 yeres Provided that yf my overseers shall Receyve my sons Goods into theyre hands my will ys that they shall enter in sufficient bonds for hys portion and pay him for the use of yt 18d pound untyll he come unto the age of 21 yeres

Item I make and ordeyn overseers of this my last will and testament Crystopher Allen and Alexander Petenden unto whom I Gyve and bequeth 10 shillings a pece to se this my wil performed
