Zachariah A GRAVES was born on 11 Nov 1826. He served in the military between 2 May 1864 and 10 Sep 1864 in Co "A", 132nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry.427

132nd Regiment Infantry. Organized at Camp Chase, Ohio, and mustered in May 15, 1864. Left State for Washington, DC, May 22. Camp near Fort Albany till May 30. Embarked at Alexandria VA, for White House VA, May 30. Fatigue duty at White House till June 11. Moved to Bermuda Hundred VA, June 11. Attached to 2nd Brigade, 3rd Division, 10th Army Corps, Army of the James. Fatigue and picket duty at Bermuda Hundred till August 12. Moved to Norfolk VA, August 12; thence to Washington DC, August 27, and arrived at Columbus, Ohio. August 30. Mustered out September 10, 1864. Regiment lost during service 2 Enlisted men killed and 45 Enlisted men by disease. Total 47.

from Ohio in the War, Vol 2, page 661: 132d Regiment - National Guard

This regiment was formed by the consolidation of three companies of the Forty-Second Battalion Ohio National Guard, from Paulding County, and one company of the Twelfth Ohio National Guard, from Montgomery County, with the Thirty-Eighth Ohio National Guard, from Logan County. The regiment was mustered in at Camp Chase, on the 14th and 15th of May, 1864, and for several days remained in camp, almost constantly engaged in drill. On the 22d, at six o'clock AM, the One Hundred and Thirty-Second marched to Columbus and took the cars for Washington City, proceeding by way of the Central Ohio and Baltimore and Ohio Railroads, arriving May 24th, and was ordered into camp near Fort Albany. On the afternoon of the 30th it embarked at Alexandria on the steamer John Brooks, and proceeded to White House, reporting on arrival to General A J Smith. The regiment was assigned to the Third Brigade, Third Division, Eighteenth Army Corps. It remained here, performing very heavy fatigue and picket-duty, until June 11th, when it embarked on a small steamer and proceeded to Bermuda Hundred. Here again the regiment performed fatigue and picket-duty, and suffered severely from sickness. On the 12th of August the regiment embarked for Norfolk, where it enjoyed a period of comparative rest.
On the 27th of August the regiment embarked for Washington City, and proceeding from there by way of Baltimore, Pittsburg, and Crestline, arrived at Columbus on the morning of the 30th. The regiment was paid and mustered out at Camp Chase on the 10th of September.

In Vol 8 of Roster of Ohio Soldiers, page 574, Zachariah A Graves is listed under Company A as a private, age 38, May 2, 1864 was the date of entering service, period of service 100 days, and remarks mustered out with company Sept 10, 1864.
He died on 26 Sep 1910. He was buried in Antwerp, Paulding, Ohio - Maumee Cemetery.
