MRS.ROSIE COX DIES AT PICHER
Founder of Church in Whitebird
Addition Succumbs st age of 61 years
Picher,March
21-Mrs.Roxie Cox,61 years old,died,at 8 O'clock last night at
her home in Whitebird addition after a linging illness.She was
the wife of William M.
Cox.
Besides her
husband,Mrs.Cox is survived by four daugthers,Mrs.Isaac Snow,
and Mrs.Clara Hill,both of Wardville Okla.,Mrs.Rosie Wallace,of
Henryetta Okla.,
and Mrs.Pearl Stanley,of Picher Okla.,and two sons,William and Joe
Cox,both of
Picher Okla.
Mrs.Cox was well knowm
thought out the Picher district,haveing been very
active in church work.The Christian Union church was establisted in
Whitebird addition
several years ago.and rebuilt of her efforts and a church builting was
crected.Mrs.Cox
was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Picher.
Funeral services will be held at the
Christian Union church at 2 O'clock tomorrow
afternoon.The Rev.Wesley Post,pastor of the Union church ,will
officiate and burial will
be in Miami cemetery.The Rebekah lodge will have charge of the
services.The funeral
will be under the Green Undertakeing company.
