To get to this burial place - From Quapaw, OK, take Highway 137 to road East 57, go East about .04 miles.  The road Y's so stay on 57 road another .05 miles to East 45 foad, which only turns to the left.  Go .01 mile and it is located in a field by two old houses.    Very difficult to see.

We found this close to two abandoned houses.  This is all we saw there.  According to an old map we had, nearby was listed "Old Medicine House".         Picture

Only one stone left and on it were two names--

Lane, Homer d. June 1901, age 5 years

In a return visit to this site, I, along with Billie Rice of the Quapaw Tribal Office, turned over the big heavy square stone, and on the side of this was the name "Lane".  I understand that this square stone is more or less the standard type stone.  You will notice the diamond shapes on the side of the stone in the 2nd picture.        Picture taken 4-2-03
