Micheal
Mould abt. 1830, Sussex/Kent/Canada My name is Angela and my mother is a "Mould". I am at the beginning of the search for Mould family information. My mother's lineage is rooted in Canada by way of England. I have no idea if we are any part of this "massive" Mould website but I'll forward the info I have.
The first Mould I know of is Michael Mould who
was married to Barbara Hovendon Burfield; I know nothing other than the fact
they were married and that Michael was a professional Mason (see below).
I'm guessing that Michael Mould was born sometime in the
1820's -1830's? The information that follows is mainly about Michael
and Barbara's son John Enes Mould.
I have a copy of an apprenticeship contract for
the "art of plasterer" signed by John Enes Mould son of Michael
Mould of Hastings in the county of Sussex, dated December 25th 1859.
I also have a copy of the marriage certificate
of John Enes Mould to Rebecca Mary Weeden. They married at St. Alphege
in the Parish of Greenwich in the county of Kent on December 25, 1865.
Rebecca's father is named on the certificate as
Thomas Weeden , profession as plasterer.
John's father Michael is listed as a
professional Mason.
John Enes Mould and Rebecca had 9 children:
John Thomas (1866-1944)
Rebecca Barbara (1867-1868)
Ellen Agnes (1868-1961)
James William (1870-1944)
George Enes (1872-1950)
Barbara(1875-1968)
Walter(1879-?)
Charles(1881-1881)
Robert Henry(1884-1964) Born in Winnipeg,
Manitoba, Canada. (I am not sure when John Enes and Rebecca emigrated to
Canada?)
Robert Henry married Emma Priscilla Sutherland
in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada on October 1, 1905. Robert Henry Mould died
in Victoria British Columbia / Emma died in 1931 in Duncan BC.
They had 5 children, one of which is my
grandfather.
I am not sure what the protocol is
regarding the sharing of information of those living so I have not
included the information of my granddad or mother as I have not asked for
their permission to so.
I do know that the Grandson of Ellen Agnes has
traced an extension of the Mould tree and I am in the process of contacting
him and will forward any info. (with permission) that I receive.
Any help that anyone may offer would be
appreciated, I am new to the search and would love to hear about any
"tricks of the trade".
Thanks so much. (Great Website by the
way!)
