HENRY MOULD b.1842 Hampshire, England
Submitted by Cathy Korpela (nee Mould) ckorpela@shaw.ca

Hello Pattrick, Just discovered your web site on the Mould families. I am a Mould descendant.  I thought you might be interested in adding this to your web site.

My father John Mould came to Canada in 1921 from Winchester, England with is parents James and Nellie Mould and brothers and sisters: Charles, Elsie, Arthur, Frank, Ernest, Robert, Bernard (Slim), Mary (Queenie) to homestead in northern British Columbia.  Last summer we held our second family reunion at the site of my grandparent's original "homestead"  in Rose Lake, BC.  There were 221 of us there, only about 1/2 the descendants of the above.

I know this about my great-grandparents:

Henry Mould born Easton, Hampshire England, 1842
Fanny Mould (nee Marsh), born Kingsworthy, Hampshire, England 1847
They were married in 1870 and lived in Winchester

They had 7 children: James, Rose, Lillian, Mable, Daisy, Minny, Tom and Albert.

My grandfather James Mould was born in 1871 in Winchester.
He married Nellie Marsh approx. 1895-96. (Nellie Marsh had 2 brothers Charlie and Jack)
He served about 20 years in the British army, saw service in India, was in the Boar War and WWI (1914-1918)
He came to Canada (as indicated above) in April, 1921 with his family on the S.S. Saxonia.  When they arrived in Canada they     traveled across the country in a CNR colonist train to the untamed wilderness of Northern British Columbia.  Nellie Mould died in     1928 at the age of 53, Jim died in 1941.

Lillian Mould (married to ?) moved to the US in 1912
Rose Mould (married Thomas Foster) also moved to the US
Daisy lived in Southampton, Mable in Wincheser and Tom at Easton Village

All of my father's generation have also passed away.  However, we have a strong family connection and representatives from each of the 9 children were at our recent family reunion.

I would be interested in searching back further in my genealogy, to see the connections with other Moulds on your website.
I hope this is of interest to you.
