PA, died 29 Apr 1879 Warren Co PA, buried Berea/Lutheran/Swedish Cemetery, Pittsfield
Twp, Warren Co PA.
3.
John Philip, born 2 Jul 1864 Pittsfield Twp Warren Co PA,
married Augusta Johnson, died 3 May 1952 as he entered WCA Hospital, Jamestown
NY, buried Berea/Lutheran/Swedish Cemetery, Pittsfield Twp, Warren Co PA. In his brother Oscar’s 1926 obituary, John is
listed as being from “Mead Run”. Augusta Willemina Johnson was born 19 Aug
1863 in Rumskulla

Charles Malinberg, died 13 Feb 1934. In
her brother Oscar’s 1926 obituary, “Mrs. Charles Malmberg” is listed as being
from “Spetz Hill”.

Axel Leander (Elic?), born 7 Oct 1873 Pittsfield Twp, Warren
Co PA, married Hulda Marie Johnson 2 Jul 1896, died 28 Jan 1952 Warren General
Hospital, Warren PA, buried Berea/Lutheran/Swedish Cemetery, Pittsfield Twp,
Warren Co PA. Hulda was born 12 Jan 1876
in Pittsfield Twp, Warren Co PA and died 10 Sep 1932 at

Emily Lovisia, born 10 Dec 1884 Warren Co PA, married Luther
Johnson 13 Aug 1904, died 4 Feb 1930. In
her brother Oscar’s 1926 obituary, “Mrs. Luther Johnson” is listed as being
from “Wrightsville”. According to Mr. Terry Barton, Emily as
really the daughter of Frank (Anders Fredrick) and Lovisia Lind, Terry's great
grandparents. Emily's mother died in
childbirth and Emily was taken in by Charles and Anna Maria. She was legally adopted by them.

Oscar Sandberg
of Mead Run was taken ill shortly after noon yesterday and at 9 o’clock last
evening passed away, despite the efforts of the physician who was summoned
immediately. It is understood that the
cause of his death was an attack of heart trouble.
Mr. Sandberg
has for 25 years been a resident of Youngsville and vicinity, having been
engaged in the lumbering business for the greater part of that time. Had he lived until September 4, he would have
been 68 years of age. He was united in
marriage on September 4, 1884, to Miss Christena Sandberg.
The deceased
is survived by his wife, one son, Melton, at home; seven daughters, Mrs. Wilber
Weaver, wife of Chief of Police Weaver, Youngsville; Mrs. Arthur Nelson, Mrs.
J.E. Shambaugh, Mrs. Carl Anderson, and Miss Pearl Sandberg, Titusville; Miss
Amanda Sandberg, at home, and Mrs. R.P. Shultz, Oil City; also two brothers,
John Sandberg, Mead Run, and Elic Sandberg, Irvine, and two sisters, Mrs.
Charles Malmberg, Spetz Hill and Mrs. Luther Johnson, Wrightsville.
A short prayer
service will be held at the home Sunday afternoon at 12:30 o’clock, followed by
the funeral service at 2:30 in the Wrightsville church. Commitment will be made at the Wrightsville
cemetery.

Mrs. Christine
Matilda Sandberg, aged 84 died at 11:20 a.m. yesterday at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Arthur F. Nelson,
She was a
daughter of the late S.M. and Carrie Sandberg and was born in

married to Oscar Sandberg September 4, 1884, at Freehold,
There are also
10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Axel Larson of
She was a
member of the Berea Lutheran church at Freehold and was the last surviving
confirm and of its first confirmation class.
She was a member of the S.F. & A. Lodge. She was loyal to the church and was a devoted
mother, being happiest when with her family.
The body was
prepared for burial at the E.A. Peterson Funeral Home and will be taken to the
home of the daughter, Mrs. Nelson, this afternoon, where friends may call after
8 o'clock. Prayer service will be held
at the home Saturday at 1 p.m. by Rev. George R. Kroon.
Funeral
services will be held at Freehold church at 3 p.m. Saturday by Rev. Earl W.
Carlson, assisted by Rev. Kroon with interment.
