1900 US Census

St John the Baptist Parish

Louisiana

East Bank of Mississippi River
(4th, 5th & 6th Wards)

By Dwayne Montz

NOTES

1. This listing of the St John the Baptist Parish 1900 US Census omits some data included in the original census. Some entries were difficult or impossible to read.  This listing should be considered as a guide for further research in the microfilm.

2. This listing includes only that portion of the parish on the East Bank of the Mississippi River consisting of Wards 4, 5 and 6.  The 4th Ward listing seems to begin at the upper end of the Ward progressing downriver to the St Charles Parish line.  The community of Ruddock is to the north of the river near the eastern shore of Lake Maurepas.  The community of Frenier is also north of the river on the southwestern shore of Lake Pontchartrain.

3. Birthplace, when not listed, is Louisiana.
