Monmouthshire" by Joseph Bradney. This history mentions Daniel Williams
renting a farm of 240 acres called Tre-fedw for 110 pounds per annum and the
Neudd farm comprising 200 acres rented by Evan williams at 65 pounds per
annum. Both farms are in the parish of
Cwmyoy, Hundred of Abergavenny. This is
a transcription of a document dated 1799.
Evan must be a brother or cousin to Daniel, as Daniel's father Evan was
deceased by 1750.

divisions...Citra and Ultra. Population
in the Citra in 1851 was 254; in the
Ultra division pop. in 1851 was 2248. Limestone is extracted here for use in
the Blast Furnaces. Blaenavon was constituted out of Ultra in 1860.
