In the name of God Amen I William Davies
of the parish of Cwmcarven in the County of Monmouth and Diocese of Landaff,
farmer, being of perfect mind and memory, make this my last Will and Testament.
My temporal estate I give, bequeath and dispose of in the following
manner. First I give and bequeath to my
daughter Elizabeth Morgan the wife of Edward Morgan the sum of
seven pounds a year during the term of her natural life to be paid by two equal
portions (viz) three pounds ten shillings half yearly by my executors herein
after named, taking her receipt only for a discharge. The residue and remainder of my estate, lands, tenements,
hereditaments, with my goods, chattels, bonds, arrear of rents, with all other
properties of what kind soever to me appertaining, I give, devise and bequeath
to my two sons William Davies and Thomas Davies, whom I
constitute and appoint joint executors of this my last Will and Testament. And I do hereby utterly revoke, disallow and
disannul all former bequests, Wills and legacies by me heretofore in any wise
left or made, declaring, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my
last Will and Testament. In witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifteenth day of May in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten. William Davies by mark.
Signed, sealed,
published and declared by the within named testator (William Davies) to
be his last Will and Testament in presence of us who subscribed our names in

May 1810. Thomas Davies the son
and one of the executors named in the said Will was sworn to the truth thereof
and to the faithful performance of the same.
And that the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased do not
amount in value to the sum of four hundred & fifty pounds (power having
been first reserved to the other executor).

before the Rev William Davies, Clk, the Chancellor’s Surrogate on the oath of Thomas
Davies the son and one of the exors (power being reserved to the other)
on the 25th day of May 1810
