In the name of God Amen, I Wm Williams, P Curate of Langoven and Penyclawdd in the County of Monmouth and Diocese of Landaff, being of perfect understanding, mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament in manner following. First I give and bequeath unto my daughter Honor Hall the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds, also unto my son John the sum of one hundred pounds, also to my son Howel the sum of ten pounds, also unto my daughter Elinor the sum of four hundred pounds and half of my household furniture, brewing and dairy utensils, the said legacies to be paid at the expiration of twelve months after my decease. All the residue and remainder of my worldly effects, with all properties of what kind soever to me appertaining, I give, devise and bequeath unto my son James Williams whom I constitute and appoint whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament. And I do hereby utterly revoke, disallow and disannul all former wills, bequests and legacies by me heretofore in any wise left or made, declaring, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament. 8th day of October 1822. James Williams the natural and lawful son of the deceased and sole executor named in this will was duly sworn as such and that the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased are under the value of two thousand pounds before me. Benjamin Hall

Appeared personally James Williams of the parish of Cumcarvan in the County of Monmouth, Gentleman, the sole executor named in the last will and testament of the Reverend William Williams late of the parish of Cumcarvan aforesaid, Clerk, deceased, who died on the thirtieth day of October 1821 and made oath, that the estate and effects of the said deceased, for and in respect of which a probate of the said will is to be granted, exclusive of what the said deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as a trustee, for any other person or persons, and not beneficially, and without deducting any thing on account of the debts due and owing from the said deceased, are under the value of two thousand pounds to the best of this deponents knowledge, information and belief. And he lastly made oath that the said deceased was not possessed of or entitled to any leasehold estate or estates for years, either absolute or determinable on lives, to the best of this deponents knowledge, information and belief.
