In the name of God Amen I Walter
Young of the pish of Cumcarvan in the County of Monmoth yeoman being weak
in body bo of sound and pfect mind and memory, praise be therefore given to
almighty God, do make and ordain this my present last will and Testament in
manner and form following (that is to say).
First and principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God,
hoping throug the merits death and passion of my saviour Jesus Christ, to have
full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins, and to inherit everlasting
life. And my body I commit to the earth
to be decently buried at the discretion of my executor here after maned. And as touching the disposition of all such
temporal estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I give ad
dispose thereof as followeth
First I will that
my debts and funerall charges shall be paid and discharged
It. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth
three siver vessels one pipe and two barels
It. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ester
one new hochett one coffer one brass pot
It. I give to my daughter Dorothy one
shilling
It. I give and bequeath to my son Charles
Young one shilling
It. I give and bequeath to my son William
Young one shilling
It. I give and bequeath to my son John Young
one shilling
It. I give and bequeath to my son Thomas
Young one shilling
All the rest and
residue of my personall estate goods and chattles whatsoever I do give and
bequeath unto my loving daughter Jane Young full and sole executor of
this my last will and Testam’t. and I
desire that my body may be buried in the pish church of Cumcarvan. And I doe hereby revoke and disanul and make
void all former Wills and Testam’ts by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I the said Walter Young
do set my hand and seal the first day of March in the first year of the reign
of our sovereign Lady Anne by the grace of God of England Scotland France and
Ireland Queen defender of the Faith Anno dom 1706. The mark of Walter (X) Young
