            In the name of God Amen the third day of September in the sixt yeare of the raygne of our sovraygn Lord  & Ladye William & Marye by the grace of God of England France & Ireland King & Queene defender of the fayeth &c & in the yeare of our Lord God one thowsand six hundred nintye & fower I Walter Harry of the pish of Goyterye in the Countye of Monmoth & diocesse of Landaph yeoman being sicke in bodye but of good & pfect memorye praysed be God for the same, doe heareby make & ordeyne this my last will and testament in maner & forme following that is to say First & principally I comend my sowle into the hands of Almightye God my maker, to Jesus Christ my redeemer & to the Holly Ghost my sanctifier by the merits of whose pcious death & passion I hope to be saved & to have remission & forgivenesse of all my sins & to enioy that everlasting kingdome prepared for the faythfull & my boddye to be layde in Christian buriall in the pish church of Goyterye according to the descresion of my executrix heareunder named  there to remayne untill that greate day of the resurrection of the just.  Item I give & bequeath towards the reparation of the Kathedeall Church of Landapth six pence.  Item give devise & bequeath to my nephew William Watkins eldest sonn of my brother Thomas Watkins all that meassuadge or tenement wherein I the sayed Walter Harry & Marry my nowe wife doe dwell & inhabit togeather with the stable barne garden orchard & courteladge thereunto belonging together with all those nine closes or pcells of lands arrable meadowe pasture & wood unto the sayed meassuadge belonging & appteyning with allwayes & easements thereunto belonging & in as lardge & ample manner as I the sayed Walter Harry & Marrye my nowe wife doe use on occupye posses & enioy  the same being scittuate lying & being in the pish of Goytery and countye of Monmoth mearing & abutting to the high way leading from Lanvihangelle Bridge towards Mamhilads church to a way leading out of the said high way towards Kemis Bridge to the lands of Richard Roberts gent & to the late lands of Christopher Vertue deceased on all ptes & sydes thereof to have & to hould & all & singular the fore demised pmisses & ev’ye pte & pcell thereof with its apptenances unto the sayed William Watkins & his heyers which shalbe lafullye begotten by the sayed William uppon the boddye of on that shalbe his wife In consideration & uppon condition that the sayed William Watkins shall satisfye & pay all such legacyes in manner & forme unto such sev’all p’sons & at such sev’all tymes as I shall here under give & bequeath them & appoynt him to pay the same  ...................   Item I give & bequeath to my neece Margerett Watkins the sume of fower skore pownds of lawefull money of England to be payed by the sayed William Watkins at or before the full end & tearme of an whole yeare next ensuing after the decease of the longest liver of the sayed Walter Harry & Marye his wife.  Item I give & bequeath to my nephew William Andrew the some of three pownds of lawefull money of England to be paid at the full end & tearme of the yeare above sayed.  Item I give & bequeath to my nephew John Andrew the some of three pownds of lawefull money of England to be payed at or before the full end & tearme of two yeares after the decease of the longest liver of the sayed Walter Harry & Marrye his wife.  Item I give & bequeath to my neece Marrye Watkins the some of three pownds to be paid the said Marry at or before the full end & tearme of three yeares after the decease of the longest liver of the said Walter Harry & Marrye his wife.  Item I give & bequeath to my nephew Thomas Watkins the some of two pownds to be payed at or before the full end & tearme of fower yeares after the decease of the longest liver of the sayed Walter Harry & Marye his wife.  And if it shall happen that the sayed William Watkins shall decease before he cometh to enioy the fore devised prmisses soe given & devised unto him & before he satisfyeth the sayed legacees soe given & bequeathed my true intent & meaning is that I doe give devise & bequeath all the above devised pmisses with its apptenances unto my sayed nephew Thomas Watkins & his heyers forever In consideration & uppon condicon that hee the sayed Thomas Watkins shall satisfye & pay unto my sayed neece Margerett Watkins her executors administrators or assignes the fore sayed some of fower skore pownds of lawefull English money as they are above given & bequeathed & at such tyme as they are appoynted to be payed by the foresayed William Watkins And alsoe that the sayed Thomas Watkins doe & shall satisfye & pay all such legacyes & in maner & forme & at such dayes of payment as they are above bequeathed & appoynted to be payed by the sayed William Watkins excepting the two pownds by mee given & bequeathed to my nephew Thomas Watkins which I doe order & appoynt the sayed Thomas Watkins to pay unto my sayed neece Marye Watkins at that tyme appoynted for his payment to make upp the full some of five pownds wch I doe give & bequeath unto my sayed neece Marye.  And yf defalte of payment happen to be made by the sayed William Watkins or Thomas Watkins or on of them of the sevrall legacyes above bequeathed it is my true intent & meaning by this my psent will & testamt that Margerett Watkins my neece doe & shall have hould occupie possesse & enioy all & singular the within devised premissesses & eveye pte & pcell thereof with its appurtenances untill satisfaction be made of the fower skore pownds within specefied soe given & bequeath by the within named Walter Harry to the foresayed Margerett Watkins in liew & towards the increase or interest of the sayed some of fower skore pownds untill such tyme as they shalbe unsatisfyed And I doe heraby order & appoynt the sayed Margerett Watkins to satisfye & pay all the legacyes within bequeathed in maner & forme unto such psons as they are given & bequeathed by the sayed Walter Harry provided that yf the sayed Margerett doth enioy the fore devised lands.  Item & lastlye I doe heareby give & bequeath to my welbeloved wife Marye all my goods cattle & chatles & all my psonall estate as howsehould stuffe implements of husbandrye with all my readye money being due unto me either by speacialtyes or otherwise which I doe give her to her owne use & behooffe & I doe heareby nominate & appoynt my sayed wife Marry to be my whole & sole executrix of this my last will & testament to see my depts paid if any be & my funerall expences dischardged according to the true intent & meaning of these psents & I doe heareby revoke anull & make voyd all former wills & testaments if any be made by me.  In wittnesse wheareof I have heareunto sett my hand & seale even the
