In the name of God Amen, I Tressa Tyler of the parish of Michel Troy in the County of Monmouth and Diocess of Landaff, widdow, doe make and ordaine this my last will in writeing in manner and form following. First I recommend my soule into the hands of Almighty God hoapeing thore the meritts of Jesus Christ to have free pardon for my sins and my body to be buried in a Christian buriall according to the discretion of my executor heareafter mentiond and as to what temporall estate God hath been pleasd to bless me with I give and bequeath as followth I give unto Charles Tyler cane chair maker, my son, of the Citty of London five pound. I give unto Ann Hopkins, widdow, my daughter, two guineys. I give unto my daughter Frances Hall two guineys. I give unto James Hopkins my granson half a guiney. I give unto my granson Charles Hopkins two guineys. I give unto Tressa Hopkins my grand daughter one sow in vary with a black patch thereon and her piggs when they are fitt to wean and two pewter platters. I give unto my grand daughter Sarah Hopkins one guiney. I give unto Thos Hopkins my granson one guiney and to be subplied with weareing apparrell dureing his aprentiship. I give unto William Hale my son in law half a crown. I give unto my son James Tyler all the rest and residue of my personall estate not before bequeathd the better to enable him to pay my debts and funerall expences and it is my will and meaning that all the abovesd legacys should be paid to the severall legatees in four years after my decease. Lastly I doe nominate and appoint James Tyler my son to be soale executor of this last will revoaking all other wills by me made. April ye 14th 1752. James Tyler the son and sole executor in the within will named was sworn well and faithfully to execute the same, to exhibite an inventory &c & to render an account &c before me William Harris, Surrogate
This will was proved at Abergavenny on the fourteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty two before the Reverend Mr William Harris, Clerk, Master of Arts, the Chancellors Surrogate, by James Tyler the son and sole executor in the within will named, who was first on the holy Evangelists personally sworn well and faithfully to execute the same, to exhibite an inventary &c & to render a just account of his administration thereof when thereunto lawfully required
