In the name of God Amen the 26th
day of June in the yeare of our Lord God 1670 I Thomas George of the
pish of Comcarvan in the County of Monmoth chirurgion being sick in body but in
good and perfect memory thanks be given to Allmighty God have made and ordayned
this my last will and testament in maner and form following .
First and principaly I give and
committ my soule to Allmighty God and my body to the earth to be buried according
to the discression of my executors and overseers.
Item I give and bequeath to my
eldest sonne Walter George two oxen of or about five yeare ould, twenty
bushells of wheat, tenn bushells of oats, one bedsteed of the best I have with
a fether bed & boulster and half a dozun of sheettes half a duzun of table
napkins, a brasse cothurn and a brasse crok of ye best I have & fower
pewter platters.
Ittem I give and bequeath to my
second sonn William George tenn bushells of wheat tenn bushells of oates
one black mare halfe a duzen of table napkins and a bed one brasse croke and
one of the yung shoop or piges of the better sort.
Ittem I give and bequeath all the
rest of my goods chattells and cattells to my yungist sonn Charles George
whome I nominate and appoynt my sole executor of this my last will and
testiment exceptting one brasse candlestick a gown and other certayn clothers
that were my latte desesed wifes appell, wch I doe give to my daughter
Jane. And I doe nominate and apoynt my
welbeloved kinsmen George Thomas of Lanishen & William Edmonds
of Comcarvan to be ov’seers of this my last will and testament. The mark of Thomas
