In the name of God Amen I Valentine Thomas of Abergavenny in the County of Monmouth and Doices of Llandaffe victualler beinge very sick in body but of very pfect memory laude and praise therefore be given to Almighty God, do make ordaine constitute & appoint this my last will & testament in manner & forme followinge (viz) First I recommend my soule to God that gave it trustinge in and through the merits of my Lord & saviour Jesus Christ to be saved. And my body to the ground to be buried in Christian buriall in the pish church of St Maries in Abergavenny afforesaid. Item I give and bequeath unto the Cathedrall Church of Landaffe twelve pence. Item I give and bequeath unto my welbeloved wife Elizabeth all my goods cattells & chattells dureinge her naturall life if shee shall continue a widdow and after her decease unto my daughter Margaret. And if my said wife shall marry againe, that then my will and pleasure is that one halfe of my said goods cattells & chattells shall be to the use of my said daughter. And I do hereby revoke all former wills and testaments by mee att any tyme made, and hereby do constitute and appoint my welbeloved wife & my daughter joynt executrixes of this my last will & testament.
