In the name of God Amen I James Rosser of the parish of Goytre in the County of Monmouthshire and Diocess of Landaff being in perfect health, mind and memory do make and ordain my last will and testament in the following maner. First of all I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to the grave to be buried in a Christian burial at the discertion of my executors hereafter named. And as for what worldly goods that God has been pleasd to bestow upon me I give and bequeath in manner following. First I give and bequeath to my son John Rosser the sume of one shilling to be paid by my executors at the end of twelve months after my decease. Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann the wife of James Watkins the sum of one shilling to be paid at the end of twelve months after my decease. And all the rest of my goods cattle and chattles I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth during her natural life and after her decease to my daughter Margaret whom I nominate and appoint my executors and administrators jointly, revoking and disannulling all former wills and testaments by me made, ratifying and confirming this to be my last will and testament.
