Lewis Richard of Trevethin.

 

In the name of God Amen, I Lewis Richard, mason, of the parish of Trevethin in the County of Monmouth being in sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament. I give and bequeath after my decease to my nephew Charles Richards currier of the afore said parish and County whom I appoint my executor, all my personal estate and effects and whatsoever I may be possest of at the time of my decease out of which property I give the sum of twenty pounds to be equaly divided between four of his children now living namely James, Mary, David and Charles Richards that when they shall arive at a proper age to be put out by the father to aprentice them to any business he shall think best in his judgment further more I apoint my executor the aforesaid Charles Richards to recive whatever sum will be due after my decease from two benefit societies I am now a member of unto which I set my name dated this twenty first day of May one thousand eight hundred and thirty. 23rd day of April 1833. Charles Richard the lawful nephew of the deceased and sole executor in this will named was duly sworn as such and that the goods chattles and credits of the deceased are under the value of one hundred pounds before me Thos Williams, MA, Surrogate
