Francis Prichard of Llanover.

 

In the name of God Amen the fourteenth day of July in the thirteenth year of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord William the Third by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King defender of the Faith &c in the year of our Lord God according to the computation one thousand seven hundred and one I Francis Prichard of Lanover in the County of Monmoth and Diocess of Landaffe corviser being reasonable well in body and of good & pfect memory God be praised doe make and ordaine my last will and testam’t in manner & form following: that is to say: First I doe commend my soul to Almighty God my maker & redeemer and my body to be buryed in Xtian buryall: Allsoe I doe give and bequeath towards the Cathedrall Church of Landaffe two pence: Alsoe I give and demise unto my cosen Susanna Humpheryes of the pish of Lanover one messuage or tenem’t wch I obtained by a will from my brother Giles Prichard of the said pish lately deceased wherein he did dwell together with one close one orchard and two gardens to the sd messuage belonging and appurtaining for terme of yeares unexpired on condition that the sd Susanna Humpheryes shall pay the sum of four shillings yearely to Roderick Jenkins his widow heires or assignes att every the four and twentieth day of June yearely dureing the sd terme of yeares unexpired, scituate, lying and being in Lanover aforesd and County aforesd bettween the lands of Roderick Jenkins: the lands of Morgan Thomas and the High way leading from Rhydlloyfen towards the town of Bergavenny on all parts and sides thereof to have and to hold the sd messuage lands & prmisses with their appurtenances whatsoever before by me given & demised unto the sd Susanna Humphereyes and to her heyres and assignes dureing the sd terme: Allsoe I give and bequeath unto Susanna Humphreyes all my goodes cattel chattells implem’ts of household stuff whatsoever. And off this my last will and testamt I doe hereby nominat & appoint the sd Susanna Humphreys to be my sole executrix and to see my funerall expences discharged: And doe hereby revoke and make voyd all former wills & testaments if any be in paroll or writing: In wittness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seale the day month and yeare first within written.
