In the name of God Amen, I Alice Prichard of the parish of Penyclauth in the County of Monmouth, single woman, being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind, memory and understanding (thanks to given to Almighty God) also considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do think it necessary to make and ordain this my last will and testament, that is to say, principally and first of all I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it, and my body to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors and as to such worldly goods as it hath pleasd God to bless me with I give and bequeath the same in manner and form following, first I will that all my just debts be fully paid and satisfied. I give and bequeath unto my brother Wm Prichard the two pigs that are now at the house. Item I give and bequeath unto my niece Elizth James a pattern for a half silk gown made and now my possession, I give her also my best apron, best silk handkerchief, together with my feather bed and bolster that I now lie on, and best capl. I give unto Esther James my stamp cotton gown, my second best white apron, a black quilted petticoat, my best stays, and as to the rest, residue and remainder of my worldly whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath the same unto Thomas Edwards and Elizabeth his wife and I do hereby nominate and appoint my said brother in law Thomas Edwards and his wife joint executors of this my last will and testament here by revoking all former wills by me hereto fore made. In witness I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of February in the year 1765. The mark of Alice Prichard.

February the 25th 1765. Thomas Edwards one of the executors in this will named was sworn well and faithfully to execute the same, to exhibite and inventary &c, and to render an acct. Power being first reserved &c, before me Nath Wells, Surrogate.
This will was proved at Landaff on the twenty fifth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty five before the Reverend Mr Nathaniel Wells, Clerk, Master of Arts, the Chancellors Surrogate, by Thomas Edwards one of the executors in this will named, who was first on the holy Evangelists personally sworn well and faithfully to execute the same, to exhibite an inventary &c and to render a just account of his administration thereof when thereunto lawfully required (Power being first reserved to Elizabeth Edwards the other executor in this will named when she applys for the same).
