            This Indenture made the twenty seventh day of Aprill & in the seventeenth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Brittain & so forth & in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & forty four between Peter Williams now of Staverney within the Hamlett of Monkswood in the County of Monmouth Gent (nephew & devisee of George Williams late of the parish of Lanvihangell tormynith in the said County Gent deceased) who was son & heir of Peter Williams late of Ifton Hill in the said County Gent also deceased & who was brother & heir of Lysand Thomas otherwise Williams late of Wolvesnewton in the sd County Gent also deceased & William Williams of Shire Hampton village in the County of Gloucester Gent, eldest brother of the sd Peter Williams party here to of the one part & John Prichard of Staverney & hamlett & County of Monmouth aforesd Gent, Thomas Jones of Hendrew within the parish of Lanbadock in the sd County of Monmouth Gent & Edward Prytherch of the town of Usk in the sd County of Monmouth shopkeeper of the other part.  Witnesseth that the sd Peter Williams (pty hereto) & William Williams for & in consideration of the sume of five shillings apiece to them well & truly paid by the sd John Prichard, Thomas Jones & Edward Prytherch at & before the execution of these presents (the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged)  Then the sd Peter Williams & William Williams have & each of them hath bargained and sold & by these presents do & each of them doth bargain & sell unto the sd John Prichard, Thomas Jones & Edward Prytherch all that freehold messuage & tenement wherein one John Robert now dwelleth with all houses outhouses barns stables beast houses buildings edifices yards folds  backsides gardens orchards & appurt’nces whatsoever to the sd messuage & tenem’t belonging or in any wise appertaining and together also with all the several pieces or p’cels of land arrable meadow pasture woods & underwoods to the same mess’ge & tenem’t belonging or in any wise appertaining containing in the whole by estimation one hundred acres of land (be the same more or less) scituate lying & being within the parish of Lanvihangell Tor Mynith & County of Monmouth aforesd by mears & bounds there well known and distinguished.  And also all that cyder mill granary & stable in the possession of the said John Robert with all the houses outhouses barns stables gardens orchards backsides yards folds buildings & appurtenances whatsoever to the sd last mentioned freehold tenem’t belonging & appertaining and together also with all the several pieces or p’cells of land arrable meadow pasture woods & underwoods to the sd last mentioned tenem’t belonging & appertaining containing by estimation one hundred & fifty acres of land (be the same more or less) & scituate lying & being within the parish of Lanvihangell tor Mynith & County of Monmouth aforesd by mears & bounds there well known & distinguished all which sd several mess’es tenem’ts lands & hereditaments were hereto purchased by the sd Lysand Thomas otherwise Williams to him & his heirs forever of & from one John Scudamore Gent, Elizabeth his wife & John Jones Gent & Elizabeth his wife all long since deceased.  And also all that piece or p’cell of land arrable & pasture ground containing by estimacon eight acres of land (be the same more or less) comonly called & known by the name of Nant y Gwithill otherwise Gwythill scituate lying & being within the parish of Lanvihangell tor Mynith in the County of Monmouth by mears & bounds there well known & distinguished & heretofore likewise purchased by the sd Lysand Thomas otherwise Williams to him & his heirs & assigns forever of & from one Philip Starr & Margarett his wife & Bridgett Starr widow and together also with all & singular other the freehold mess’es tenem’ts lands & hereditaments whatsoever & wheresoever of him the sd Peter Williams (pty hereto) scituate & being within the sd pish of Lanvihangell tor mynith & County of Monmouth or elsewhere in the sd County of Monmouth as well in poss’ion as in reversion remainder or expectancy & the reversion & rever’con remainder & remainders rents & services of all the said bargained mess’es tenem’ts lands hereditaments with appurts to have and to hold all & singular the sd hereby bargained freehold mess’es tenem’ts lands hereitaments & prem’es with apprts unto the sd John Prichard, Thomas Jones & Edward Prytherch their exors admins & assigns from the day next before the day of the date of these presents for & during & untill the full end & term of one whole year from thence next ensuing & fully to be compleated & ended yielding and paying therefore unto the sd Peter Williams (pty hereto) & William Williams their heirs & ass’es the rent of one pepper corn on the first day of January next (only if the same be lawfully demanded) to the intent & p’pose that by virtue of these p’sents & of the statute made for transferring uses into po’ssion  the sd John Prichard & Edward Prytherch may be in the actual po’ssion of all & singular the sd hereby bargained mess’es tenem’ts lands & hereitaments with appurts & thereby may be enabled to take & accept of a further grant release & confirmacon of them & their heirs for ever to for & upon such uses intents & p’poses as shall be thereof declared.  In witness whereof the sd partys to these p’sents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands & seals the day & year first above written.  Peter Williams;  William Williams
