In the name of God, Amen. I Henry Nicholas of the parish of Trelleck Grange in the County of Monmouth, bachelor, being of perfect mind and memory thanks be unto Almighty God but weak in body, and knowing that it is appointed unto all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament, that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it, and my body 1 commend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executor, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive it again by the mighty power of God. And as touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life, I give and devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.
First I give and bequeath to Edith Jones daughter of Mary Young the sum of three hundred pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid her out of my property which is now out on interest.
Secondly I give and bequeath to my Sister Jane Luff children the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be equally divided between them.
Thirdly I give and bequeath to my sister Hannah Morgans children the sum of two hundred pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be equally divided between them.
Fourthly and last I give and bequeath to my brother William Nicholass children the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain and to be equally divided between them as aforesaid
And I do likewise appoint William Morgan son of James and Hannah Morgan of Clydath Farm to be my sole executor of my aforesaid effects.
Aid I do here by utterly disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other former testaments wills.
legacies and bequests and executors by me in any ways before names, willed and bequeathed. Ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament. 30th day of April 1850. William Morgan the lawful nephew of the deceased and sole executor in this will named was duly sworn as such and that the goods, chattels and credits of the deceased are under the value of one thousand pounds before me William Evans, surrogate
It is the request of Mr H Nicholas that his executor should pay Thos Constance one guinea for making this will and that he should inscribe the bottom of the same.

Appeared personally Thomas Constance of the Parish of Hewelsfleld in the County of Gloucester. Schoolmaster, and made oath that the paper writing hereunto annexed purporting to be the last will and testament of Henry Nicholas late of the parish of Trelleck Grange in the County of Monmouth, bachelor. Deceased, bearing date the eighth day of November one thousand eight hundred and forty seven was wholly drawn and written by and with the proper hand writing of this deponent pursuant to the directions and instructions given him by the deceased for that purpose, and he further saith that the said will was read over and explained by hint this deponent to the said deceased who appeared perfectly to understand the same and extended his approbation thereof and signed his name on the foot or bottom of the said will in the presence of this deponent and of Sophia Lacey his fellow witness both of whom were present at the same time and this deponent subscribed his name and the said Sophia Lacey made her cross or mark to the said will as witness to the due execution thereof at the request and in the presence of the said testator and of each other. Appeared personally William Morgan of the parish of Langwm Ucha in the County of Monmouth, farmer, the sole executor named in the last will and testament of the said Henry Nicholas late of the parish of Trelleck Grange in the said County, yeoman, deceased, who died on the fifteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty and made oath that the estate and effects of the said deceased, for and in respect of which a Probate of the said will is to be granted. Exclusive of what the said deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as a Trustee for any other person or persons, and not beneficially, and without deducting any thing on account of the debts due and owing from the said deceased, are under the value of one thousand pounds, to the best of this deponents knowledge, information and belief. And he lastly made oath that the said deceased did not die assessed of any leasehold estate or estates for years, either absolute or determinable, on a life or lives to the best of this deponents knowledge, information and belief.
