            This is the last Will and Testament of me Nathaniel Beadles late of the town of Pontypool in the County of of Monmouth but now of the parish of Ross in the County of Hereford Gentleman being weak in body but of a sound and disposing mind memory and judgement.  Whereas my two sons Capel Beadles and Charles Fowler Beadles are already provided for I give devise and bequeath to my wife Honor Beadles all my plate linen china books household goods furniture bonds mortgages notes of hand money and all other my real and personal property whatsoever my will and meaning is that my said wife Honor Beadles is to receive the rents of my real estate and the interest of all monies wether on mortgage, bonds notes or in the funds during her natural life and the principal together with all and every my personal property shall immediately after the decease of my said wife become the property of my two daughters Honor Beadles the younger and Mary Ann Lewis the wife of John Lewis of Coed y Pane in the parish of Langibby in the County of Monmouth to be equally divided between them share and share alike as tenants in common and not as joint tenants to whom I give the same free from and in no ways subject to the debts and control or intermeddling of any husband or husbands they may have either of them except such part of my plate as my wife may think proper to give to any child in her life time.  I also give devise and bequeath unto my two daughters Honor Beadles and Mary Ann Lewis their heirs and assigns as tenants in common one moiety of the estate and lands situated in the parishes of Lanvrechva Upper and Panteague in the County of Monmouth late in the occupation of John Hands but now of John Roberts.  And also I give and bequeath unto my two aforesaid daughters Honor Beadles and Mary Ann Lewis the one half of the farm and lands situate in the parish of Christ Church in the County of Monmouth late occupied by David Williams but now occupied by Wm Goff to be equally divided between them my aforesaid daughters Honor Beadles and Mary Ann Lewis their heirs and assigns as tenants in common and not joint tenants immediately after the decease of my said wife.  And it is my will and meaning and meaning and I do hereby declare and direct that neither John Lewis the present husband of my said daughter Mary Ann Lewis or any future husband with whom she might intermarry nor that husband or husband with whom my daughter Honor may hereafter intermarry shall at any time or times have any control over any property hereby given to my said daughters and their respective children be it real or personal but that the same shall be free from the debts and engagements of such husband or husbands.  And I hereby direct that the receipt or receipts alone of my said daughters for the same and the rents and profits thereof shall be a full discharge for the same and from and immediately the decease of my said daughter Mary Ann Lewis I give devise and bequeath all the property wether real or personal hereby given to her equally unto and between all and every the child and children of my said daughter Mary Ann Lewis as tenants in common and not as joint tenants and the issue of any child that may be then dead such issue to be entitles only to the parents share.  Lastly I nominate and appoint my dear wife Honor Beadles the elder my whole and sole executrix of this my Will hereby revoking every Will and Testament heretofore made.  In witness whereof I the said testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of June one thousand eight hundred and nineteen 1819.  Nathaniel Beadles

 

Signed sealed published and declared by the said testator Nathaniel Beadles as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in the sight of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.  Thos King of Ross;  Eliza King of Ross;  Mary King of Ross

 

NB.  The word ‘Real’ in the tenth line is as wrote before the testator signed this Will and also the word ‘Given’ in the beginning of the forty fourth line and the words ‘ and children’ in the fifty second line were wrote before the testator signed this Will.

 

6th day of August 1819.  Honor Beadles widow the relict of the deceased and sole executrix in this Will named was duly sworn as such and that the personal estate and effects of the deceased are under the value of one hundred pounds before me Benj? Hall, Chancellor

 

NOTE:  On the cover to this Will it states that Nathaniel Beadles was of Newport, formerly of Ross.  The Admon also states that he was of Newport.  DW

 

In the goods of Nathaniel Beadles deceased.  In the Consistory Court of Landaff.

Honor Beadles of the town of Newport in the County of Monmouth widow executrix named in the last Will and Testament of the said Nathaniel Beadles late of the town of Newport aforesaid Gentleman who died on the twentieth day of July 1819 maketh oath that she hath made diligent search and due enquiry after and in respect of the personal estate and effects of the said deceased in order to ascertain the full amount and value thereof; and that to the best of her knowledge information and belief the whole of the goods chattles and credits of which the said deceased died possessed within the Diocese of Landaff (exclusive of what the deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as a trustee for any other person or persons and not beneficially but including the leasehold estates for years of the deceased whether absolute or determinable on lives and without deducting any thing on account of the debts due and owing from the deceased) are under the value of one hundred pounds.  Honor Beadles.
